How We Work Together

Whole Dancer Wellness offers education, workshops, and consulting built around the real mental and emotional demands of dance, for dancers, coaches, and the programs that support them. Sessions are available in person or virtual, and every engagement starts with a conversation about your program's specific needs.

Workshops for Dancers

Interactive, age-appropriate workshops that give dancers practical tools for performance anxiety, perfectionism, comparison, and building confidence that doesn't depend on a perfect run-through. Designed for studios, teams, and convention settings.

What's typically included:

  • A pre-session conversation to tailor content to your dancers' ages and needs
  • An interactive, discussion-based session, not a lecture
  • Practical tools dancers can use immediately, not just concepts
  • A take-home resource for dancers and coaches to reinforce the session

Good fit for: Studios, dance teams, convention breakout sessions

Coach Education

Coaches shape the emotional environment of a program as much as the technical one. This workshop equips coaches and directors with practical, evidence-informed strategies for supporting dancer mental wellness, recognizing burnout early, and building a culture where dancers feel safe to fail and grow.

What's typically included:

  • A working session built around your program's real situations, not generic scenarios
  • Concrete language and strategies coaches can use in the studio right away
  • Guidance on recognizing burnout and anxiety early
  • A reference guide coaches can return to after the session

Good fit for: Coaching staffs, program directors, athletic/activity departments

Parent Education

Parents want to support their dancers well. This session gives them language and tools for doing that, without accidentally reinforcing the pressure, comparison, or perfectionism dancers are already navigating.

What's typically included:

  • A parent-friendly session, no clinical background assumed
  • Practical, at-home language for supporting a dancer through pressure and setbacks
  • Guidance on what helps, and what unintentionally adds pressure
  • A short take-home handout parents can reference later

Good fit for: Studio parent nights, team meetings, booster programs

Keynote Speaking

Justice Graham brings a rare combination, clinical mental health training and real dance program leadership, to convention stages and program events, translating mental wellness research into language the dance world actually uses.

What's typically included:

  • A keynote address shaped around your event's theme and audience
  • A pre-event planning call to align on tone and focus
  • Optional breakout or Q&A add-on for a deeper follow-up session
  • Promotional bio and headshot for your event materials

Good fit for: Conventions, conferences, program kickoff events

Program Consulting

Ongoing or project-based consulting for studios and programs that want to build mental wellness support into their culture, not just as a one-time workshop, but as an ongoing practice.

What's typically included:

  • An initial assessment conversation about your program's current culture and goals
  • A practical plan for building wellness support into everyday program structure
  • Choice of a project-based engagement or an ongoing consulting cadence
  • Check-ins to adjust the plan as your program's needs change

Good fit for: Studio owners, program directors building long-term culture change
